Hidden behind the hedges,
The path diverts between the trees.
Slip beneath the branches,
Inhale Shrewsbury’s breeze.
At first glance – colours.
Petals of each fragrance of the rainbow.
Tiered, arranged beautifully,
Still, the character of a meadow.
Stroll along the gravel,
Through a circular maze,
Skirting around a pool of water,
Where a misty fountain sprays.
The Dingle is a paradise,
Barely a few steps west
Of the chaotic town centre.
A wondrous place to rest.
