Wild rabbit applauded,
The hue of pink orchid.
Now all he desires is a doe.
There’s no sweeter investment,
Nor filled with contentment,
Than one which continues to grow.

The rabbit and orchid were painted by myself using acrylics and watercolours.
Wow, this is really pretty with such a heartfelt meaning. I love the poem and the art. They’re both beautiful. ❤ ❤

I love that you’ve combined your artwork (which is oh so sweet) with a poem here. My understanding here (perhaps not exactly what was in your mind) is that the orchid itself, maybe even the bunny, is an investment to watch grow….we plant, we nourish, we enjoy watching the growing. Now — if that is not your meaning….no problem because after all, one mark of a good writer is that their words somehow connect with the reader and make the reader take the leap to a personal meaning. You’ve done that for me! I really love this little poem!

Thank you so much! ✨ I’m so glad that different interpretations can come from one of my little poems! It’s exactly why I don’t add explanations for my poems, that’s wonderful news! My input into the poem was about the nurturing of the orchid which represented a potential relationship for the bunny. Something sweet and worth investing in! 😊 Thank you for sharing your interpretation!
